Privacy Policy — ArsenalVision Podcast App
Effective date: August 9, 2026
The ArsenalVision Podcast app is made by ArsenalVision Podcast LLC ("we"). We built it to collect as little as possible. The app creates no accounts of its own, shows no ads, includes no analytics SDKs, and does no tracking. For data protection law purposes, ArsenalVision Podcast LLC is the data controller for the small amount of data described below.
What stays on your device
Playback positions, downloaded episodes, and settings are stored on your device only.
If you connect a private Patreon RSS feed, the link is stored in your device's secure storage (the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore) and is used only to fetch your feed. It is never sent to us.
If you use the optional Patreon login, the sign-in tokens Patreon issues are stored in the same secure storage on your device.
If you pair a smartwatch, your playback positions, listening settings, and (if connected) your private Patreon feed link sync between your phone and watch so the watch can play your episodes. On Apple Watch this uses Apple's device-to-device connection; on Wear OS it travels through Google Play services' device sync. Either way, none of it is ever sent to us.
If you log in with Patreon (optional)
Patrons can log in with their Patreon account to see patron videos and posts inside the app. When you do:
We ask Patreon only whether your membership to ArsenalVision is active. We do not request your email address, and we never see your Patreon password.
The check happens in real time each time the app verifies your access. We do not keep a record of your Patreon account, name, or membership on our servers.
Patreon's own privacy policy applies to your Patreon account.
You can disconnect at any time in the app's settings, and you can also revoke the app's access under Connected Apps in your Patreon settings.
What we receive, why, and for how long
Mailbag questions: if you send one, we receive the screen name and question you typed, with a timestamp. We don't ask for or store your email address. Questions may be read on the show. Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form. Retention: deleted within 12 months of submission.
Push notifications: if you turn on new-episode alerts, we store your device's anonymous push token so Apple (on iPhone) or Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging service (on Android) can deliver the notification. The token isn't linked to your identity. Legal basis: your consent, given via your device's notification prompt. Retention: deleted immediately when you turn alerts off in the app, and automatically when a token stops working.
Stocks picks: if you play Stocks, we receive your picks and votes along with a random identifier created in the app, so results and season totals can be tallied. The identifier is not linked to your identity. Legal basis: your consent, given by playing. Retention: kept to maintain season results.
Where data is stored
Data we receive is stored with our hosting provider (Supabase) on servers in the United States. If you use the app from the UK, EU, or elsewhere, your mailbag submissions and push token are transferred to the United States. Our provider processes data under contractual safeguards, including standard contractual clauses.
Third parties
Podcast audio streams from our podcast host (Simplecast) and, for patrons, from Patreon. Their servers see the same standard network information (such as IP address) as when you stream from any podcast app.
Video plays through YouTube's privacy-enhanced embedded player; YouTube's privacy policy applies while watching. Some patron videos play through Vimeo's embedded player; Vimeo's privacy policy applies while watching.
On Android, notifications are delivered through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging service. We use it only to deliver notifications; no analytics are included in the app.
If you use the optional Patreon login, the membership check is answered by Patreon's API under Patreon's own privacy policy.
Links to Patreon, partner offers, and our merch store open external sites with their own policies.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers named above.
Your rights
Everything we receive is optional: mailbag submissions, push alerts, and the Patreon login only happen if you use those features.
If you are in the UK, EU, or another region with data protection laws, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Because we store so little and cannot identify which mailbag submission is yours on our own, please email us and describe the question you sent so we can find and delete it. To delete your push token, simply turn off new-episode alerts in the app's settings. To remove the Patreon login, disconnect it in the app's settings; there is nothing to delete on our servers because we keep no record of it.
You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU, your national supervisory authority.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
